The restaurant Savage Garden was created by two locals and a German tour guide, whose first enterprise together was a German bakery called Café Edelweiss. Savage Garden is located in an old 18th century house which was lovingly restored using traditional techniques and local craftsmanship. The courtyard, painted in a dark Majorelle blue and decorated with a Moorish fountain and cusped arches, reflects the influence of Islamic culture found from Spain to India.

The restaurant, located in the city centre, is found in a small narrow street, away from the bustle. This provides an alternative to the many roof top restaurants in Udaipur – an enchanted oasis in the city.
We strive to be an alternative in every aspect in comparison to the other restaurants. The small selective menu reflects not only the fine Indian traditional cuisine (aubergine tomatoes) but also some Western dishes (chicken breasts with rosemary potatoes) and “fusion cuisine” (Indian sauces on pasta). We also provide freshly brewed coffee through the day.
It is safe to eat fresh salad in the restaurant as the water is purified and clean. The kitchen is open for inspection to all our clients.

The staff are provided with clean uniforms and a safe and hygienic environment. A staff room is available for their leisure hours. All staff are covered by an insurance policy and are paid equitable wages. The restaurant seats 62 people and employes eight full-time staff.
The chefs and second chef both hold diplomas in cooking.

The Manager is Ranjeet Singh Rao (Vicky).
